The Power of Heart

According to the Law of Attraction, when you are attempting to attract something into your life it is important to not only think the thoughts but also to feel the feelings as though what you want already exists. The feeling is actually the more important part of the manifestation equation. Why is this? The feelings are more important than the thoughts because feelings are associated with the heart, and our hearts are our places of power.

Look at our thoughts. Typically, thoughts are highly influenced by what the world teaches about it and ourselves. These are the thoughts associated with the mind, also known as the ego, and are not particularly true or reliable. Quite often the thoughts of our minds are downright lies! These are the thoughts that tell us we are worthless and we have to prove ourselves by showing ourselves to be more accomplished than others. In our society, we have been taught to rely on this "rational" information at the expense of the intuitive information we receive.

The intuitive information we receive is from our heart connection. It is the heart that connects us to each other and the Universe around us. Consequently, the knowledge we receive from the heart is much more insightful because it is all-knowing and takes everything into account, even when we don't see all the little details.

The heart is also our place of power. It is from the heart that you can tap into both Universal knowledge and power! This is why your feelings are the more important part of the manifestation equation! When your feelings line up with your thoughts about what you want, you draw on the power of the Universe to direct your desires toward yourself. Your feelings are the thoughts you get from the heart!

Anyone who is truly interested in manifesting his/her desires needs to learn to tap into his/her heart space. Doing so will not only help a person tap into the energy of the Universe, but by going within and learning about yourself you will also be able to identify your purpose within that Universe. People who live in prosperity and abundance have identified their purpose and act on those ideas which connect them to that purpose. This process is often referred to as "living in flow".

The ego/mind does not have the power to manifest because it is a separate entity not connected to Source. True power only comes from our connection to Source. The place to find that connection is in the heart. This is why our feelings make it possible to manifest our desires--they are our heart thoughts. It is the power of  heart that makes all things possible.

Illusions of the Mind

The world you live in is an illusion. It is not based in truth, nor has it ever been. The world you live in is one that has been formed using the constructs of the mind--imaginary structures based on man's ideas about how the world "should" work. You ask, "What's not real? What's not truth?" The answer: pretty much everything.

Let's look at religion--I will pick on Christianity because it is what I know best. The ideas I speak of here are not limited to just Christianity. (I would even say they would apply to religions such as the great religion of science.) Christianity bases its beliefs on the Holy Bible--its "source of truth". While I do believe there is truth to be found in the Bible (as in all good books), it is hidden by the inaccuracies of various interpretations of it. Even Christians cannot agree on what the Bible instructs its followers. Each denomination has its set of beliefs or "laws" about how the world is supposed to operate, and they are all different. Truth does not change. Truth is what is left over when you have pared away the nonessentials (which happens to be most everything). Truth IS. If Christians truly understood what truth was, there would be no arguing. You can't argue with what IS. The I AM stands on its own.

Science does not understand this principle either. When you do a little research and try to get back to the basic premises that the "truths" of science are based on, what do you find? You find that their scientific "fact" is based on someone's original theory. What is the definition of a theory? A few definitions from www.thefreedictionary.com are as follows:  A set of statements or principles devised to explain a group of facts or phenomena, especially one that has been repeatedly tested or is widely accepted and can be used to make predictions about natural phenomena; Abstract reasoning; speculation; An assumption based on limited information or knowledge; a conjecture. When you get back to the heart of science, it too is based on an assumption, a conjecture! It may or may not be truth, but that does not stop it from being accepted as truth. This is why great scientists every few hundred years come along and upset the great scientific apple cart, discarding hundreds of years of assumptions with one new thought.

Now let's look at the American medical community. Americans are taught to believe that we have the best healthcare technology available. Billions are spent every year on scans and surgeries and vaccines and medicines that are going to "save" us from what ails us! Often, the treatment ends up worse than the disease! Look at standard "chemo" to treat cancer. Sure it kills the cancer cells, but it also kills your healthy cells--the ones your body uses to protect itself! Is this sensible? No. Yet every year we allow it to be pumped into our bodies in order to "save" ourselves. This practice has become so accepted by Americans that the government now forces children whose parents don't want to poison them with chemo to get the chemo or the parent is deemed unfit and will actually lose custody of their child! There are actual cures for cancer out there that don't kill you too (although in America they are often outlawed!). Look at the actress Suzanne Sommers. She was cured of breast cancer without chemo and without surgery! It happens. The truth is just hidden from us by the powers that be and their thirst for our money!

These institutions and others were all constructed using thoughts which came from the mind of man. These constructs were layered on top of the truth and became so accepted over time that they are now considered to be the truth. We have lost sight of what actually is the truth because we have been taught these lies for so long. We have come to rely so much on our minds and their related thought processes we have lost the ability to access the place of real truth--the place of the heart.

Even Jesus taught that the kingdom of God lies within. It is not outside ourselves. Each one has the ability to go within to his or her own heart, to access the Divine spark within and learn to recognize that Divine spark in others. It is this love--this energy-- that connects us. It is this energy that flows in and through all things! This is the real source of truth, and it is available to each and every one of us when we learn to access it.

Learning to access truth through the heart is the key to overcoming the illusions of the mind. Most people are able to access this truth occasionally without even being aware of it. How will you know? You will be confronted with some internal conflict or turmoil. This is your body's way of telling you something is not right in your world! The conflict comes because what the world has taught you to be truth does not agree with what your heart innately knows to be truth. It is at these times you need to acknowledge the conflict and search your heart for answers. God--truth--will speak to you there. The answers will probably shock you!

We all have the ability to overcome the illusions of the mind. In doing so, we allow truth to exist freely as it was meant to. It is only by allowing what IS to exist that we are truly set free.




 

The End of Politics As Usual

Here in the United States, politics is in full swing as we begin the process of electing/re-electing a president. Obama is set to run again for re-election on the Democratic ticket while several presidential hopefuls are beginning to vy for placement on the Republican ticket. None of it thrills me because all I see is the same old politics, and our country is screwed up enough (and has been so for many, many years). We talk about change, yet no one is doing anything differently. Still the same talk, the same blame, the same lies, the same corruption. If the country's problems are to resolve themselves, there needs to be an end to politics as usual.

Americans have a tendency to rely on their heads. What I mean by this is, we are taught certain things by society about how it functions, and like mindless puppets, we believe them! Nine times out of ten, we dismiss those "gut reactions" that come into play when a piece of the truth is revealed because they are not based on evidence we can actually see. The evidence is often cleverly hidden from view. This is where we get into trouble! We have all been lied to by those in power! Wake up, people!!!

The voice of God talks to each one of us on a daily basis. Unfortunately, most of us are so accustomed to tuning it out we no longer hear it! That still small voice of God comes to us through those "gut reactions". It is the voice of warning--the voice we know we should have listened to after we tuned it out and found ourselves in trouble. It isn't a fluke! It's God, and He speaks to you! It is this voice of God the flows through everything and connects us all. It is this voice of God that works for the good of all.

If we are really serious about fixing the problems in our world, we need to stop coming up with answers based on the lies our heads/society have taught us. We need a new approach--a heart-centered approach, a God approach. We need to ask our God-connection for answers! We need to open our hearts to those words God speaks to us every day and follow that guidance. Only then will we be united. Only then will we able to begin to truly fix the world's problems. Only then will we indeed be One.   

The New Mentality

I had an interesting conversation with several Facebook friends who were discussing the planetary ascension process we seem to be going through at the present time--this time of increased problems but also increased understanding. So often in our day to day experience, it is easy to get discouraged about all that is taking place. We see people who ought to "get it" do stupid things which seem to undermine the planetary growth, setting us back hundreds of years (or so it feels).

I just don't see it that way. Sure, there are a great many ignorant people out there. Sure, the great majority of people in the world today are bent on controlling the lives of as many others as humanly possible. The thing is, there are also those of us who are realizing that fighting and control are futile--that the only ends which will come about by all the continuing conflict is our earthly demise. And there are more and more of us every day!

More and more often, another person is converted to the masses who believe struggle for control is not the answer (although if you're looking to see this in politics, forget about it!). The key to our survival lies not in standing up for our beliefs. It lies in allowing others to control their own destinies--to choose the lessons they came here to learn. It is only by allowing all that IS to occur without hindrance that we will be able to rise above the conflict and create a world based on ONE!

This Oneness of heart and of mind and of purpose is the new mentality! The very act of manipulation/control is the block which stands in the way of global peace and harmony! When another is raging for a fight, don't engage him! Love him! When another tells you that you've lost your mind and need to be stopped, love her back! Fighting won't stop the battle. It can, by its very nature, only increase it. Accept and go about with your purpose in life. They will learn their own lessons in their own time.

The impact of your acceptance will be much more powerful than you will ever know! The old saying "Actions speak louder than words" is true. When you are peace and love, others will understand and imitate. It is this mentality that will sway hearts. It is this new mentality that will change the world. 

The Problem With Politics

Like most people, I have my own personal view on politics. I take great pleasure in exercising my right to vote and have been know to become disappointed when things don't turn out like I had hoped. I am happy to live in a country where we have so many freedoms and the right to vote is protected by law. Still, for all those protections, politics in America is fundamentally flawed. I don't believe it is a problem with the code. I don't believe anyone could produce better laws without limiting some of the freedoms we enjoy today. The problem with politics lies in the hearts of the people.

At present, America does have a ruling elite. Yes, we have the "right" to elect our officials. Yes, two individual parties seem to promote different agendas. For all that, I see it as smoke and mirrors--an elaborate magic trick used to hide what really goes on behind the scenes. The powers that be--made up of those already in power and their financial supporters--are in a position to handpick our current and future leaders in an effort to retain their money and power. The changing power between the Democrats and Republicans is in place to make Americans believe there are different ideologies out there (and to give them a fight to focus on instead of the reality).

Look at our present circumstances. After eight years of "Republican" control of the White House (which was preceded by eight years of "Democrat" control), Barak Obama was swept easily into office. The thing is, I had a difficult time telling much of a difference in stand between Obama and McCain in the issues. Even more telling were their actions. Both Obama and McCain backed those massive bank bailouts and "stimulus" packages. This amounts to corporate welfare on a grand scale. The argument was, "We had to do this to keep the economy going." The reality was, big corporations were dying (and needed to in our evolutionary process). In an attempt to hang on to that money and power, those behind the scenes made sure their immediate needs were met.

Years of American apathy have allowed these circumstances to prevail. For the most part, life has been good in America. People had what they needed, and those with a little more ambition could increase their standard of living through hard work and good ideas. Now that the ecomony has bottomed out in the transition from industry to technology, people are beginning to wake up to the fact that all is not quite right in the world.

So what is the answer to this question of unbalanced power? We all need to think and act differently. Conventional wisdom tells us to listen to "both sides" and determine what sounds like the most workable idea. However, isn't this the same "wisdom" that got us into this mess in the first place? It's the wisdom society has taught us, and it carries all the flaws and biases inherent in that society.

The key is to find the wisdom of the heart. On a spiritual/energetic level, we are all connected. Have you ever been in a group and laughed at a shared joke or sung a moving song? Did you feel a part of a bigger collective? What about 9/11? Did you feel the world's collective pain during this catastrophic event? This is the sort of connection that exists within all things, and we have the ability to connect to it when we focus on doing so. This the shared wisdom that takes everyone into consideration and wants the best for all concerned. Such is the wisdom of the heart.

As a society--as a world--it is important to learn to make these internal connections to see the truth in all things. You may choose to call it God or global consciousness or energy--what you call it is unimportant. What is important is learning to access it. When you are connected, you begin to see what society is trying to hide. The truth will really set us free. When we have access to the truth, we can make better choices. We can make a better world. The problems in politics will be erased as we learn to make choices based on these internal connections--the connections of the heart.

Jumping In the Deep End

I've done it this time. I jumped in the deep end not knowing if I could actually swim. As a matter of fact, all former indications would seem to signal no, and I jumped in anyway. This is the way of the heart. The mind signals "Danger! Warning! Don't Go There!" based on previous learning experiences. The heart, on the other hand, knows what it wants, and it is often in direct opposition to what the mind wants. The struggle between the two causes anxiety and confusion in those it affects. Jumping in the deep end is usually a scary proposition.

Recently, my high stress, low pay job being a daycare teacher became too much for me to handle anymore, so I quit. I was so scared to do it, knowing that it would be difficult to find any job in a different field in this poor ecomony. Still, I knew if I continued on that path it would just be more of the same. It would kill me eventually--my spirit if not my body.

I began to search inside myself for answers, knowing connecting within is the key to connecting to Source. As I opened my heart, my dreams and passions took hold. I have always wanted to be in business for myself. I have always wanted to be a motivational speaker. In the past, I have toyed with the concept of direct sales, believing strongly you can earn a livable income if you apply yourself. It also has elements of both my dreams. I found a great company selling all natural foods that lined up with my core values a few years back. My heart shouted, "Now is the time to truly commit!" My mind on the other hand was once again filled with doubts, ranging from, "You've never been able to do this before", to ,"You don't deserve to succeed." Having worked to release much of this negativity in the past year, I decided to go with my heart. 

You stand at the top looking down at the water. It's a long way down. The pool is a little cloudy at the deep end. You're not sure if there are rocks below the surface that could injure you. Still, you are sure it can be done. You may even be aware of other people who have done it before you with great success. With determination, you make the decision to take the plunge. The fall is a little out-of-control, but there is also a rush of excitement as you leave the security of the rock behind. You splash in the water, start to sink, and flail about until you find the exact movement that brings you back to the surface. Treading water can initially be hard, but in the end you become stronger. You may even learn to float. At this point you realize: the water is is cool and comfortable and a good place to be. Jumping in the deep end is a funny thing. The only real scary part about it is contemplating the actual leap.

If your heart tells you to do something, don't think. You may talk yourself out of it. Just jump. Once you get your bearings, the water below is cool and comfortable.
