The Choice...

There is one thought pressing down on me today. It is time to make a choice. I'm not really sure why it has to be made today--only that now is the time for me to make it. The choice comes down to how I am going to live my life and whether or not I want to live it in a world of violence and chaos or a world of peace. I feel very strongly it will come down to either one or the other.

Seems like a relatively easy choice. I mean, who in their right mind would purposefully choice violence and chaos over peace? Suffice it to say, the choice is a little more complicated than that. For me, the choice involves both intention and resolve.

My definition of intention is the conscious act of working toward a particular goal and bringing it into reality. The way I see it, if I am going to choose a life of peace, it is up to me to seek it out! I must understand what peace is--so much so that I become peace. Not only will I find peace in the world around me but I will actively attract it to myself and my world. I truly believe we find that which we seek. A choice to live peace involves bringing peace to the forefront of your thoughts.

The second part of the equation is resolve. It is important to be committed to your choice--to continue to strive for and work toward that goal. Wavering on your decisions gets you no closer to them. You must be so committed to your decision that you continue to make progress--even when obstacles seem to block your path. If you are resolved to see your choice through, you will get there eventually.

I know a good many people who see the country's economic woes and see the collapse that is all but inevitable. Most of them are doing what they can to stock up on food, medical supplies and toiletries. Some of them are even stocking up on guns and ammunition. While I am not against having a weapon, I question my needing one. Why would I automatically assume I would need a weapon to protect myself and my loved ones from others who would take my supplies? Why couldn't I instead assume that my supplies and myself will become a part of a larger community who are committed to helping each other overcome whatever financial crisis may be on the horizon? I believe that if I place too much of my focus/intention on fear, this will eventually manifest itself. Needless to say, I do not want to go there!

Therefore, the choice that I make today is a choice for peace. That doesn't mean the world will just magically manifest all goodness and light. It will mean my world will manifest goodness and light. If you make the choice for violence and chaos (usually fear-based), that is what will manifest for you.

Eventually, this is a choice we will all have to make. Choose wisely.

In the Battle of Good Verses Evil

We are engaged in an epic struggle--the battle of good verses evil. We are all taught there is a right and a wrong--a good and a bad, and it is important to stand up for truth, righteousness, God, etc. Satan wants to actively steal your soul and seal it away in the depths of hell (or so we are told). For thousands of years, humans have been engaged in endless battles where they believe truth, righteousness and God are on their side. Let me ask this question: if battles are "won" in the name of righteousness, why are we still fighting? If we are so righteous, shouldn't it be obvious to everyone? Wouldn't those overcome by the "truth" finally see the error of their ways and come around to righteousness themselves? It is my belief this whole scenario is a setup--one that convinces us to stay locked in a never-ending fight. It is this fight that keeps us from attaining true peace, happiness and freedom.

Fighting is destructive. It serves to tear down big things like cities or countries. It serves to tear down personal things like our lives and our self-esteem. Fighting does not bolster things, or build things, or make things better. By its very nature, fighting kills.

Is there any hope for us? Is there any way to overcome the struggle? My answer is a resounding "Yes!" We can overcome, but in order to do so we must change our tactics! So far, our battles are all about forcing our thoughts and beliefs on others. We cannot win any battle through force. This only leads to resentment and misunderstanding. The way to overcome the struggle is through balance!

What do I mean by balance? To me, balance involves doing the opposite of what you have been doing in order to get a different outcome! Martin Luther King, Jr. perhaps said it best when he stated:
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
You cannot "fight" evil and make it go away. Fighting anything only makes what you are fighting struggle harder. It is by counteracting the evil with its opposite you can turn the tide and truly change things.

I know a great many people in the world look at certain signs (like the ongoing financial collapse) and are preparing for the ultimate battle. I'm preparing too, but in a different way. My way of preparation involves connecting to God and earth. My way of preparing involves doing what I can to bring people together--to get them to understand the importance of laying aside their differences in order to counteract all the hate and violence with love!

It is only by consciously stopping the fight we can overcome the fight. It is only by reaching out to our fellow humans we can be saved! In the battle of good verses evil, the only choice that can bring us the peace, happiness and freedom we crave is love. Choose love!

Always Darkest Before the Dawn

The world is one giant mess. Toxins poison our air, water and food. Unemployment and homelessness are on the rise. Government agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration are buying hollow point ammunition (click here for link) while the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Education spend your tax dollars to purchase 12-gauge shotguns! (click here and here for links) The largest American banks have been told to prepare for total collapse. (click here) A former Marine named Brandon Raub, was taken into custody by the FBI and is being evaluated in a psych ward because of his FB posts! (link here and here for details) Folks, if you haven't been aware of the darkness that surrounds you, pay attention! The signs are all around you--hidden in plain sight!

Granted, I am pointing out what some of my contemporaries like to call "fear porn" (ie. news items used to excite people through fear). I point them out because I know a great many people that don't even know these things happen. However, I don't think the combination of all these things necessarily leads to the total collapse of civilization. The powers that were would like us to think our way of life is collapsing in an effort to  maintain what power they still have left (thinking if they use the right propaganda to scare us we will continue to support their current corrupt system).

While I believe our system is imploding, I also believe there are other things going on behind the scenes to keep the world from erupting into some apocalyptic catastrophe. For example, countries around the world, who are tired of being manipulated by America and the western European powers (aka the Fed and the other world banks), have banded together to create a new system of currency to replace the almighty dollar. Called BRICS (standing for the core nations of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), this alliance of 140+ nations is ready to help America out of its economic crisis. (Warning: do not believe the western powers propaganda that it is a "communist" takeover of the world. The communist label is just that--a label! It is designed to keep you in fear and make you want to keep our current regime in power! The thing is, if you read and researched the first paragraph you are discovering that our current regime has already begun taking away our constitutional rights! We should be more scared of our government than of its ouster!) You can read more about BRICS topic here!

Even more importantly, people are beginning to wake up every day to the strange things going on around them. Like Brandon Raub, these people are standing up and speaking out, voicing their preferences for freedom and change in calm, nonviolent ways. The corruption is beginning to be addressed as civil and criminal cases are being investigated behind-the-scenes efforts to take criminals out of power. (Libor investigation) (US Marshalls Expose the Biggest Scandal in History) (Audit the Fed) As these actions come to fruition, freedoms will be restored through peaceful means!

There is something of an air of gloom and doom here in America. Just remember: it's always darkest before the dawn!

Yes! I AM a Conspiracy Theorist!

I'm tired of being a "good little girl". I'm tired of being told (by well-meaning people I might add) that I don't have my facts straight, that there's not enough evidence to draw conclusions, that certain subjects could be taken the wrong way, etc., etc., etc.! The final blow comes when some smart@** makes the statement, "Oh! She's just a conspiracy theorist!" and shunts me to that undesirable box reserved for "crazy" and/or naive people! Well let me set the record straight right now! Yes! I AM a conspiracy theorist! If believing that those in power are willing to do anything to stay in power makes me a conspiracy theorist, I will gladly take on the name!

I began waking up a few years ago when I started to have problems with my teenage daughter. Her problems were much larger than the average--she did not fit into the nice little box that worked so neatly for my sons and myself. I was forced to ask new questions in my search for answers. I began to see information I had previously ignored--information that made me question my whole reality. It has not been an easy journey, but it is one I am happy I made because it has given me a much a much more solid foundation to build my life on.

Lies are funny things. Once you uncover one, they become much more easy to identify. They begin to pop up all over the place, and you wonder why you never noticed them before! My eyes opened up when I realized how dead our food is and how the lack of nutrients in our food has led to great increases in things like ADHD, autism, cancer, heart disease, depression, bipolar, etc. Then I became aware of the fact that people who try to produce healthy food (usually small farmers) go under due to regulations and other things instituted to protect us (when really all they protect is Big Agri and Big Business). As I continued down this rabbit hole, I began to see the lies in other parts of our society--things like the ultra-rich really are becoming richer while the middle class dwindles and the poor class increases. They truly have global monopolies which have taken over our planet, all the while convincing us we still have a free market! (A great article on the subject can be found at David Wilcock's site called The Great Revealing: US Marshals Expose Biggest Scandal In History)  If we had a free market, Goldman Sachs and the other big banks would never have gotten bailouts and would no longer be in operation! (Think "too big to fail"!) Our society has been built on a foundation of lies--all designed to keep us docile and help maintain the status quo of those in power.

Who gets to decide how many facts I need in order to get them straight? How much evidence is enough to be conclusive? Which subjects are off limits because they might be taken the wrong way? I am convinced the government would like to make those decisions and turn us into a civilization of compliant, apathetic zombies gullible enough to believe the propaganda thrown at them, making it easy for the government and businesses to take whatever money is left to be taken! They definitely want to convince you that they are basically good people just like you--hard working and "honest"--people who are only looking out for your best interests!

Put me in the "crazy" box if you have to, but I will not be intimidated into compliance! Here and now, I gladly take on the title of Conspiracy Theorist! Judge me if you dare!!! Just remember, if they take me and my big mouth away before they come for you, you have been warned!

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

The Power To Overcome

Lately, a good deal of my time has been spent looking for news about the "resistance movement". What is that, you ask? It is a movement of people who recognize the corruption of many of those in power and are working behind the scenes to free humanity from this control. I see many people in the world crying out for help. I believe I am here at this time in history to help heal some of that pain. My interest in watching for news stems from both wanting to know what others are doing and trying to figure out exactly what my role is to be. In my quest for understanding, one idea keeps screaming at me over and over again. We are no closer to overcoming the corruption at present than we were last fall when I began following news of the movement. Why? Because we do not understand what we need to overcome!

The biggest problem I see with the resistance movement is the all petty differences people have over what is good, right or correct. Everyone seems to have their opinion--and they are all different! This one believes in the right to bear arms. That one believes abortions should be allowed. This one made a moral mistake so no one should listen to anything he says because his views are obviously faulty. That one is a misinformation agent because he once stated the following...and it goes on...and on...and on...ad nauseam!!! The fighting among people who are supposedly fighting for the same cause is incredible! How in the world are we supposed to bring about a new, peaceful, harmonious world when all we do is bicker about who is right?!!! Divide and conquer is the strategy that has been successfully employed to control the masses for thousands of years! Our rules and our laws, our mores and our taboos, are all designed to limit the actions of populations. We are responsible to the whole, and when we do things to break out of the mold we are bad, wrong and incorrect--selfish even!

What is the solution? Albert Einstein once said, "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." The same kind of thinking in this instance is the belief that everything is good or bad, right or wrong. (I can hear you all thinking, "Good and bad is well-defined," and, "Blasphemy!") Every time we define someone with a label, we place them in a box. It is our many and varied boxes that separate us from one another and make us feel as though we need to compete. It is very much a learned process, but also one we can overcome with a few simple tools.

One tool that everyone is capable of using is to focus on those things we have in common with others. So you believe being gay is a sin and the person working beside you at the homeless shelter is gay? Focus on the fact you are both compassionate enough to help homeless people! Your neighbor owns an arsenal of weapons and you are a gun free vegetarian? Focus on how well he keeps up his yard and how he mows the lawn of the elderly woman down the street! When you focus on someone long enough to see what you consider positive points, you are much more likely to take down the barriers that separate you.

Another tool that can be used to overcome separation is a bit more difficult, but ultimately much more rewarding. It is learning to connect within in order to connect to everything (ie. the Universe, Source, the I Am, etc.) This is something I cannot necessarily teach you. However, there are many methods and many teachers that can lead you to this connection. Some of the more popular teachers are people like Wayne Dyer, Gregg Braden, Eckart Tolle, and Lynne McTaggart. There are many teachers with many different techniques. Find one you can relate to and learn to "plug in" to the collective! By doing so, you will be able to see the situations which confront you from new perspectives, leading you to amazing insights and solutions! Say a prayer and/or set the intention that the process which will work for you comes to you quickly and with ease!

The power to overcome does not involve overpowering others. The real struggle lies in rising above those beliefs we hold which separate us from our fellow humans. It is this separation that keeps us from working together and creating a happier, more joyful, more abundant world. The power to overcome is the power to overcome self. By changing yourself, you will change the entire planet!
With all my love!

To Have Or Have Not

As I read over Facebook posts since the tragic shooting at the movie theater in Colorado, I am overwhelmed by the controversial debate over gun ownership. If gun controls had been more strict, the shooter may not have been able to buy weapons. If people in the theater had been allowed to carry concealed weapons, the killer might not have been able to kill and injure as many people as he did. Guns create violence. Only troubled people pull the trigger. And the debate goes on...and on...and on...ad nauseam (this is the correct spelling of what is usually spelled ad nauseum--sorry, I have a tendency to be a bit anal with spelling). The whole argument just spins around in one big circle--and that's the point. The controversy is a never ending cycle of separation!

Why is it that we look at others and automatically place them into categories? Why do we judge others based on beliefs we have been taught to be "right" or "wrong"? Are people, cultures and societies truly good or bad? We are taught that they are. Most of us are so convinced of the truth of our beliefs we are willing to die for them!

The thing is, the judgments we place on others generally stem from those things we have been taught by the world around us. Throughout history, cultures have done things I have been taught were "wrong"--ritual sex in various religions, drugs to induce euphoria or different consciousness, stealing food or other necessities, etc. We judge these things because we are so much more evolved now and can see the error of their ways!

I grew up in a devoutly Christian home. Being the "good" little girl I was, I had a tendency to stay away from drugs, alcohol and non-marital sex, and I was often secretly repelled by people who did them. Even now with my understanding of what judgment creates, there are times when I find myself pulling away from people who make different choices from the ones I make. Does pulling away from others make me a better person? Is separation a good thing?

It is separation that causes us to fight. It is separation that keeps us involved in wars. It is separation that keeps us from unconditionally loving our fellow human beings.

Many of us say we want peace, but what is the price of peace? The price of peace is the willingness to give up our ideas of what constitutes good and bad so that all those things we have previously allowed to come between us no longer separate us. The price of peace is to end judgment. It doesn't necessarily mean you have to give up your beliefs. It does mean you have to forget them when you look at other people. Peace is not about forcing others to your belief system. It is about allowing them to be the people they have chosen to be.

To dwell on separation is to keep yourself trapped at the level of duality. In order to ascend to the level of the Source of all things, we must focus on becoming One. It is not about having or not having. It is about looking beyond your earthly ego to the sacredness of the whole.
